What to expect before you book, in plain words.
Booking and deposits
Book online at any hour, or call. No deposit is asked for a facial. Birgit confirms by email or text, whichever you choose. The studio is by appointment, and we don't take walk-ins.
Canceling and running late
Please tell us a day ahead if you need to cancel or move a booking, by phone or message. If you are running late, call; Birgit will fit in as much of your time as she can.
If you miss an appointment
If you miss an appointment without a word, we'll write to see that you are well, and ask for a day's notice next time.
Children and companions
The studio is for adults, and our clients are 18 and over. A companion may wait in the hall.
Patch tests and allergies
No facial needs a patch test. If you know an ingredient doesn't suit you, tell Birgit when you book and she'll plan around it. The ingredient card is there for exactly that.
Redos and refunds
If something wasn't right, tell Birgit in the days after your visit. She'll listen, and offer to put it right where she can.
Tipping
Tips are welcome and not expected. You can leave one at the desk or on the booking page.
Undressing and draping
You undress only to your comfort, and your shoulders and chest stay covered by a sheet or towel. Only the area being worked on is uncovered.
Before your visit
Come with your skin as it is, and no need to take off make-up first. Wear something with a loose neckline, and arrive five minutes early.
When to ask your doctor first
If you are pregnant, take a medicine that affects your skin, or have a skin or health condition, ask your doctor before you book. Birgit may suggest a doctor too.
